What is 710? The Cannabis Holiday You Need to Know About

What is 710? The Cannabis Holiday You Need to Know About

If you’re into cannabis concentrates, you’ve probably already circled July 10 on your calendar. But if you’re thinking, “Wait… is that like 4/20’s cousin?” You’re not wrong! Welcome to 710, the holiday that celebrates all things oil, wax, shatter, live resin, live rosin and classic hash. It’s like 4/20, but specifically for hash heads. And yes, there’s a reason it’s called 710!

How 710 Got Its Start

Unlike 4/20, which has roots going all the way back to the 1970s, 710 is a more modern addition to cannabis culture. It started popping up in online forums and among concentrate connoisseurs sometime around 2011. The first official 710 event is believed to have happened in California, where early extract artists and hashmakers were already refining their craft and building a cult following.

As concentrates became more accessible and mainstream, the holiday spread like a fresh dab on a hot nail. Now, 710 is an internationally recognized celebration of extraction artistry. Events, brand drops, and concentrate competitions happen coast to coast, with dispensaries (like us!) getting in on the fun by offering epic sales on oils, waxes, shatter, and vape carts.

Who Celebrates 710 and Why?

710 is for anyone who appreciates the art of cannabis concentrates. That means daily dabbers who love high-potency hits, vape pen fans who prefer a cleaner puff, and even the canna-curious who are just dipping their toes into the extract pool. If you’ve ever admired the glistening beauty of cured rosin or geeked out over terpene profiles, 710 is basically your version of New Year’s Eve.

It’s also a day that celebrates innovation in the industry. Extraction tech has come a long way. from sketchy homemade setups to sophisticated solventless labs producing premium full-spectrum products. Whether you’re using a handheld dab straw or a Bluetooth-enabled e-rig, you’re part of a constantly evolving community that’s pushing cannabis forward.

How to Celebrate 710 (Without Going Too Hard)

The golden rule for any 710 sesh? Start low and go slow. Concentrates are potent by design (some clock in at 80 to 90 percent THC) so it’s totally okay to take baby dabs and savor the experience. A well-timed hit from a live resin cart or a flavorful terp-heavy dab can be just the thing to elevate your day without overdoing it.

Whether you’re kicking back solo or celebrating with your crew, the best way to enjoy 710 is with your favorite products and a chill vibe. Throw on a good playlist, crack open a cold drink, and treat it like the cannabis appreciation day it is. Bonus points if you support local by grabbing your goodies from your neighborhood dispensary.

Ready to Celebrate? NatureMed Has Your 710 Covered

We’re rolling out seriously fire deals this week to help you stock up for 710 without breaking the bank. Whether you’re looking for concentrates, vapes, or dabbing essentials, we’ve got you covered.

Head over to our daily deals page to see what’s on special and plan your sesh like a pro.

Everything You Need to Know About Resin, Rosin, and Distillate

Everything You Need to Know About Resin, Rosin, and Distillate

July 10th (aka 7/10) is almost here, and if you flip those numbers upside down, you’ll see why we’re celebrating. Yep, it spells “OIL,” and this unofficial holiday is all about honoring the potent, flavorful world of cannabis concentrates. From resin to rosin to distillate and everything in between, we’re breaking down what makes each of these extracts unique, and helping you find the one that fits your vibe.

Live Resin vs Cured Resin: Let’s Talk Terps

Live resin and cured resin are both hydrocarbon extracts, which means they’re made using solvents (usually butane or propane) to pull cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant. The key difference? Live resin is made from fresh-frozen cannabis, while cured resin uses flower that’s been dried and cured. Live resin tends to have bolder, more vibrant flavor profiles because freezing the plant right after harvest helps preserve those delicate terpenes. Cured resin still packs a punch but usually leans more on potency than flavor.

still image of golden cannabis concentrate on a white shiny background

Rosin: The Solventless Sweetheart

If you’re into a clean, solvent-free experience, rosin might be your go-to. Rosin is made by applying heat and pressure to flower, kief, or hash to “squish” out the oil, no solvents needed. Live rosin (which comes from fresh-frozen material) is the premium version. It’s super flavorful and smooth. Regular hash rosin or flower rosin might be a little less intense on flavor, but still offers a clean, terp-heavy high. Rosin is a favorite among purists who want full-spectrum effects without any added chemicals.

Distillate: Pure Potency, No Frills

Distillate is a super refined cannabis extract that strips away almost everything except THC (or CBD, depending on the goal). It’s not known for flavor or aroma, but it’s great for getting high without the extra fluff. That’s why distillate is the go-to for edibles, vape cartridges, and anyone who just wants a strong and straightforward hit. If you want max potency with minimal taste or smell, distillate’s your best friend.

image of a cannabis concentrate jar on a grassy area with a hand holding a black hot knife that has a scoop of the golden cannabis concentrate hanging off. another cannabis smoking device can be seen in the background.

Badder, Budder, and Sugar: Texture Talk

Now let’s get into the fun textures. These are usually hydrocarbon extracts like resin, but whipped or processed in a way that changes the consistency. Badder and budder are creamy, almost like cake frosting, and super easy to dab. Sugar looks like wet brown sugar, with a mix of THCa crystals and terp sauce. They’re all about the balance of flavor and potency, and if you love dabbing or loading your vape with something that smells amazing, these are it.

Diamonds and Sauce: High-End Dabs

You’ve probably seen those chunky, glistening THCa diamonds floating in amber sauce. This is the fancy stuff. Diamonds are pure THCa crystals (which convert to THC when heated), and the sauce is loaded with terpenes. Together, they give you a super flavorful, hard-hitting experience. Some blends are heavier on diamonds, others have more sauce. It’s really about what kind of high you’re chasing.

How to Pick What’s Right for You

If you’re new to concentrates, all these options might feel overwhelming. Think about what matters most: flavor, strength, smoothness, or how it was made. Want full flavor and a clean, solventless hit? Try live rosin. Need something affordable and effective for your pen? Distillate carts are a good entry point. Love tasting every terp? Grab some live resin sugar or budder. It’s okay to experiment until you find your fave.

Supporting Our Neighbors: Tornado Relief Drive

Supporting Our Neighbors: Tornado Relief Drive

On May 16, a tornado swept through northern St. Louis, causing serious damage and leaving many families without basic necessities. It was one of those moments that shakes a community, but also reminds us how strong that community can be. At NatureMed, we’re doing what we can to help support our neighbors through it.

We’ve partnered with Love the Lou, a St. Louis organization working directly with families impacted by the tornado. Their team is focused on delivering real support, fast by getting essential supplies into the hands of people who need them most.

What We’re Collecting

If you’re planning to visit one of our STL stores, we encourage you to bring a few extra items with you to donate. Here’s what we’re collecting:

Food and Drinks

  • Bottled water & electrolyte drinks
  • Non-perishable food items like peanut butter, jelly, & canned goods

Everyday Essentials

  • Toiletries (toilet paper, soap, toothbrush/paste)
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Towels, clean clothing, adult diapers
  • Items for children (formula, diapers, toys)

Household & Repair Supplies

Donations will be accepted during regular store hours at both St. Louis NatureMed locations until June 30. We’ve made it easy to contribute. Just bring your items inside and let any team member know you’re donating to the tornado relief drive. We’ll hand the rest from there!

Why It Matters

When natural disasters hit, many people are left without basic necessities for days or even weeks. The tornadoes that came through Missouri were no exception. In moment’s like this, small businesses have the power to step up in a big way. For us, that means showing up for the STL community the same way it’s always shown up for us.

We believe that being part of a community means showing up when it’s needed most. Whether you’re able to bring one item or ten, just being part of this effort means a lot. It’s the little things that help people feel seen supported, and not alone.

From Our STL Team

This drive was started by one of our own, Kyra Derington, who experienced the storm’s impact firsthand. Here’s what she shared about the day the tornado hit and what inspired her to take action:

On May 16, I got a call from the local police saying a tree in my front yard fell on my house. As I rushed home in panic, I shortly realized I was one of the lucky ones. As more pictures and information about the devastation across North County were posted, my heart broke. Some families lost everything in an instant. I knew we had to do something. Launching the tornado relief drive at NatureMed wasn’t just about collecting supplies, it was about standing beside our community in a moment of deep need. Watching everyone come together so quickly reminded me how powerful compassion can be when we choose to act.

Since launching our tornado relief drive, over 1,347 items have been donated at our two STL stores. The response has been incredible, and we’re so grateful to everyone who’s already shown up to help.

Shop and Support

Even if you’re not able to donate, your visit still supports the work we’re doing! Check out our daily deals to save on your go-to products and browse our online menu and order ahead for pickup.

Thanks for being part of a community that shows up and takes care of each other. STL, we’ve got your back.

How to Store Your Cannabis During the Summer

How to Store Your Cannabis During the Summer

Summer is officially here, which means it’s time for sunshine, poolside chillin’, and all the warm-weather vibes. But while the heat might feel great for you, it’s definitely not ideal for your cannabis. If you want your flower to stay fresh and your edibles to stay edible (no melted messes, please), storing your stash the right way during the hotter months is a must. Let’s get into how to keep everything tasting, smelling, and hitting like it should.

Why Heat Isn’t Your Weed’s Friend

First things first: heat is one of the biggest enemies of your cannabis. When temperatures climb too high, especially above 77°F, THC can start to degrade. That means your flower might not be as potent as when you first bought it. On top of that, excessive heat can dry out your buds fast, which makes them harsh to smoke and can strip away those flavorful terpenes you love.

Even worse, leaving your stash in a hot car or on a sunny windowsill can make it go bad real quick. So, if you’ve ever taken a hit that tasted like cardboard or hit weirdly weak, high temps could be the reason.

Humidity Can Be Just as Bad

Now let’s talk humidity. Missouri summers can get humid AF, and too much moisture in the air is a recipe for mold, especially if your cannabis is in plastic bags or unsealed containers. While a little moisture is good to keep your flower from turning to dust, high humidity creates the perfect environment for mildew and bacteria.

Because of that, it’s super important to store your cannabis somewhere with consistent airflow and stable humidity. Ideally, you want your storage space to stay between 55 to 62% relative humidity. Anything too high or too low can mess with quality and shelf life.

Using the Right Storage Containers

Glass jars with airtight lids are your best bet when it comes to cannabis storage. Mason jars work great, but you can also find stash jars made specifically for weed that block out harmful UV light. That extra layer of protection helps keep your buds from drying out or getting too warm.

On the flip side, try to avoid plastic bags and containers whenever possible. They can create static, which pulls the trichomes off your flower. And we all know the trichomes are where the magic lives. If you’re still using a plastic bag, consider this your sign to upgrade.

Find the Perfect Spot

Once you’ve got a good container, think about where you’re keeping it. A cool, dark place like a drawer, cabinet, or closet is ideal. You want to avoid anywhere that gets direct sunlight or fluctuates in temperature throughout the day.

Importantly, don’t store your cannabis in the fridge or freezer. While it might seem like a good idea during the summer, those cold temps can mess with the trichomes, making them brittle and easier to break off. It’s a common mistake that leads to wasted product.

Keep Edibles Fresh, Too

It’s not just flower that needs protection. Your infused treats do, too. Chocolates, gummies, and even baked goods can melt or get gross if stored in a hot room. If your AC isn’t cutting it, you can pop your edibles in the fridge, but make sure they’re sealed tightly to avoid moisture issues or weird smells.

Also, always store your edibles in a child-proof container and away from pets. Summer means kids and animals might be around more often, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Don’t Forget About Vape Carts and Concentrates

Vape cartridges and concentrates like wax or live resin also need a little summer care. When carts get too warm, the oil can thin out and start leaking. Concentrates may lose their texture and flavor, especially if exposed to direct heat or light.

To prevent this, store your vapes and extracts in a cool, shaded spot, just like your flower. If you’re on the go, try using a small insulated bag or case to keep them protected while traveling or heading to a friend’s house.

Don’t Let Summer Ruin Your Stash

Keeping your cannabis fresh during summer doesn’t have to be complicated. Store it in the right container, keep it out of the heat and light, and check on it once in a while. And if something does go bad? No worries! Our shelves are always stocked with fresh flower, vapes, edibles, and more. Hit up your closes NatureMed dispensary, shop our daily deals or browse our online menu to restock with the good stuff. Stay cool out there.

Trichomes: Tiny Crystals with Big Cannabis Power

Trichomes: Tiny Crystals with Big Cannabis Power

If you’ve ever looked at a sticky nug covered in frosty crystals and thought, “This looks magical,” you’re not wrong. What you’re seeing are cannabis trichomes, and they’re some of the most important parts of the cannabis plant. These sparkling structures are where cannabinoids like THC and CBD are produced, along with all those flavorful terpenes that make each strain unique.

Despite their tiny size, trichomes have a big job. They’re responsible for delivering the effects, aroma, and flavor you love. Without them, cannabis wouldn’t get you high, wouldn’t taste or smell interesting, and frankly wouldn’t be nearly as fun.

What Exactly Are Trichomes?

Trichomes are tiny, hair-like glands that grow mostly on the flowers and sugar leaves of the cannabis plant. Under a microscope, they look like little mushrooms. Each trichome head contains resin packed with cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds that give cannabis its power.

In nature, trichomes protect the plant from insects, animals, and harsh sunlight. The sticky resin makes the plant less appealing to predators, while the strong smell acts like a warning signal. For growers and consumers, though, these same features are what make trichomes so valuable. The more visible and milky the trichomes, the more potent the flower is likely to be.

Trichomes Tell You When Cannabis Is Ready

Trichomes can also tell you when a cannabis plant is ready for harvest. Clear trichomes usually mean the plant still needs time to mature. Once they turn cloudy or milky, the cannabinoids reach their peak levels. If the trichomes start to turn amber, the THC begins to degrade, which leads to more relaxing or sedative effects.

Many cultivators use magnifying tools to inspect trichomes and harvest their plants at the perfect time. This attention to detail is part of why top-shelf flower delivers such a smooth, balanced experience.

Why Trichomes Mater for Concentrates

Concentrates like live resin, rosin, wax, and shatter are all made by collecting and refining trichomes. These products isolate the trichome-rich resin, giving you a more potent and flavorful form of cannabis. Some concentrates are made with solvents like butane, while others use heat and pressure to extract the oils naturally.

Trichomes are also what make kief, those fine, powdery crystals that collect in your grinder. Many cannabis fans save their kief to top bowls, roll into pre-rolls, or mix into homemade edibles. It’s a fun and effective way to put those powerful little crystals to good use.

Spotting High-Quality Trichomes in the Dispensary

When you shop for cannabis, trichomes are a good indicator of quality. A thick, sticky layer of trichomes usually means the flower was harvested at the right time and cured properly. You’ll often notice the difference in smell and feel before you even take a hit.

At NatureMed, we carefully select flower that’s rich in trichomes. Whether you’re browsing our top-shelf buds or looking for a potent concentrate, you can trust that you’re getting the good stuff every time.

Celebrate the Sparkle

Trichomes may be tiny, but they’re the unsung heroes of your cannabis experience. They create the effects, flavors, and aromas that make each strain special. Whether you love classic flower or prefer modern concentrates, you’re enjoying the benefits of these little resin factories every time you light up.

Back to the Roots: Landrace Cannabis Strains at NatureMed

Back to the Roots: Landrace Cannabis Strains at NatureMed

Today’s cannabis scene is packed with wild names and hybrid strains. But behind all those flashy crosses are the true originals: Landrace strains. These are cannabis plants that evolved in a specific part of the world over many generations. They adapted to the local climate, soil, and growing conditions. That’s what gave them their unique flavors, aromas, and effects.

Landrace Strains on the Menu in Misourri

Let’s start with one of the most famous sativas of all time, Durban Poison. This pure landrace comes from South Africa. It’s known for its sweet, earthy smell and a clear-headed, energetic high. If you need a daytime boost or a quick creativity kick, this is your strain. We carry Durban Poison by Teal Cannabis right here at NatureMed.

Next up: Acapulco Gold. This legendary strain hails from the mountains of Mexico. It’s a golden-hued sativa with smooth smoke and euphoric effects. Customers love it for its mellow energy and subtle body buzz. Right now, we’ve got Acapulco Gold by Flora Farms on the shelf, so don’t miss it!

The Indica Connection: Afghani Roots

While we don’t currently stock a pure Afghani strain, many of our indicas carry its influence. Afghani is a landrace from the rugged mountains of Afghanistan. It’s famous for its sedative effects and dense, sticky buds. You’ll find Afghani genetics in classics like Platinum Og, Pure Michigan, and other Kush-based strains.

These strains are great for relaxing, managing stress, or getting a good night’s sleep. When you see “Kush” or “OG” in a name, there’s usually a little Afghani in the mix.

Why Landraces Matter

Landrace strains are more than old-school. They’re cannabis history in flower form. Their genetics are stable and consistent, which means you get predictable effects. That makes them great for both new and experienced consumers.

Plus, smoking a landrace is like taking a trip around the world without leaving the couch. From the highlands of Mexico to the valleys of South Africa, each strain brings its own story and character. They’ve stood the test of time for a reason.

Landrace strains aren’t always easy to find. When they show up, they tend to move fast. So whether you’re vibing with the classic uplift of Durban Poison or chasing the golden chill of Acapulco Gold, now’s the time to explore your roots.

Head to our daily deals page and check out the full menu to see what’s in stock. These legendary strains won’t be around forever. Grab them while you can!

Cannabis Lingo: Speak Budtender Without the Guesswork

Cannabis Lingo: Speak Budtender Without the Guesswork

Let’s be real, shopping for cannabis can sometimes feel like walking into a secret club where everyone else speaks fluent Budtender and you’re just there nodding like, “Sure, I totally know what nanoemulsified full-spectrum distillate means…”

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the words flying around the dispensary, you are definitely not alone. But don’t worry! We’ve got your back. Whether you’re a seasoned shopper or just dipping your toes into the world of terpenes and tinctures, this guide will help you crack the code and talk the talk with confidence.

Top-Shelf

It sounds fancy because, well, it is. “Top-shelf” refers to the highest-quality flower in the dispensary and is usually packed with trichomes, strong aromas, and a price tag to match. It’s called top-shelf because (you guessed it) it’s usually displayed on the top shelf. Treat yourself!

Infused

When you see “infused” on prerolls or edibles, it means there’s a little extra punch involved like hash oil, kief, or live resin added to the product. Basically, it’s cannabis turned up to eleven.

Entourage Effect

No, this isn’t a reference to that HBO show. The entourage effect is the idea that cannabinoids (like THC and CBD) and terpenes work better together than they do alone. It’s like a team effort where everyone brings their A-game for a more balanced, enjoyable experience.

Decarboxylation

This tongue-twister of a term just means activating the THC or CBD in cannabis by applying heat. It’s the reason we light flower or bake edibles. Without decarboxylation, your product won’t deliver those familiar effects.

Nanoemulsion

This fancy-sounding technology is changing the edible game. Nanoemulsion breaks cannabis oil into tiny particles that absorb faster into the bloodstream, which means quicker onset times and more consistent effects. If you’ve tried a “fast-acting” edible, this is probably why it worked so quickly.

Landrace Strain

A landrace strain is like the OG of cannabis. These are naturally occurring strains that haven’t been crossbred and are native to specific regions. Think of them as the grandparents of many of today’s hybrids, old-school and full of character.

Bioavailability

Okay, it sounds like something out of a science textbook, but it just means how much THC or CBD actually gets absorbed into your system. Different products (like edibles vs. vapes) have different bioavailability rates, which can affect how fast and strong your experience is.

Cannabinoids

These are the chemical compounds in cannabis that do all the heavy lifting. THC gets you high, CBD chills you out, and there are plenty of others, like CBG, CBN, and THCV, that each bring their own vibe.

Rosin

Rosin is a type of solventless concentrate made by applying heat and pressure to cannabis flower or hash. It’s prized for being clean, flavorful, and packed with potency, since it doesn’t use any chemicals in the extraction process.

There you have it! The secret language of cannabis, decoded. Whether you’re curious about cannabinoids or finally figured out rosin is, you’re already ahead of the game. So next time you’re browsing the menu or chatting with a budtender, you’ll be speaking the lingo like a pro.

Ready to test out your new vocabulary in the wild? Shop our menu for the latest and greatest products, and be sure to check out our daily deals for fresh specials you won’t want to miss!

How to Create the Ultimate At-Home Smoke & Yoga Sesh

How to Create the Ultimate At-Home Smoke & Yoga Sesh

If you’ve ever stretched into the downward dog and thought, “this would be better with a little cannabis,” you’re not a lone. Combining cannabis and yoga is nothing new! Practitioners have been exploring this mellow match for centuries. The blend of mindful movement and calming cannabinoids can be the perfect recipe for a relaxed body, a quiet mind, and a deeper connection to yourself (and your living room floor).

First things first: set the vibe. Think soft lighting, a cozy corner, and maybe a playlist that screams “zen with a groove.” You don’t need a full-on yoga studio, just a yoga mat, some open space, and your favorite cannabis product. Whether you’re into flower, edibles, or a smooth-hitting preroll, the goal here is to ease into relaxation, not blast off to another planet. Choosing something light and calming, like an indica or indica-leaning hybrid, to help ground your energy.

Timing is everything. Consider enjoying your cannabis 15 to 30 minutes before your practice begins, depending on your method. Inhalables like prerolls or vapes work faster, while edibles take their sweet time (but can add a whole new level to your savasana if timed right). Sip some water, take a few deep breaths, and give yourself permission to slow way, way down.

Now, onto the movement. Don’t worry about hitting the perfect poses, this isn’t about impressing anyone! Keep your flows gentle and intuitive. Think stretches that feel good in your body, like cat-cow, seated forward folds, or easy twists. Cannabis can help you tune in to your body’s sensations more deeply, so listen up and move in a way that feels right for you. You might find a simple pose like child’s pose feels especially relaxing after a toke.

And hey, don’t forget to laugh! Cannabis has a way of making things a little sillier, so if you find yourself wobbling during tree pose or giggling in pigeon, lean into it. Your home practice doesn’t need to be serious. It’s yours! Have fun, breathe deep, and let yourself enjoy the ride. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s presence.

Savasana, or final relaxation, might just become your new favorite part. Laying down, fully supported, and totally mellowed out? Yes, please! Add a blanket, a pillow under your knees, and maybe even a lavender eye mask if you’re feeling fancy. Let your high gently melt into your stillness. Just remember: don’t drift off too hard! You still have snacks to get to!

Pairing cannabis with yoga at home is all about creating space for breath, movement, and blissed-out relaxation. Whether it’s a quick 10-minute stretch session or a full hour of flow, adding cannabis can deepen your awareness, soften tension, and make your mat feel like the coziest place on earth.

Ready to enhance your next solo sesh? Head over to our daily deals page for fresh savings on prerolls, flower, and more. And don’t forget to check out our menu to stock up on your favorite products before you unroll that mat. Happy stretching, happy smoking, and namaste high.

Cannabis and Sleep: What Science (and Our Budtenders) Say

Cannabis and Sleep: What Science (and Our Budtenders) Say

Let’s be real, when counting sheep stops working, many folks turn to cannabis. Whether it’s trouble falling asleep, waking up at 3 a.m., or just struggling to shut the brain off after a long day, more people are asking us the same question: “What’s the best strain for sleep?” While there’s no one-size-fits-all answer, there is a growing body of science (and some tried-and-true budtender wisdom) that can help steer you in the right direction.

First, let’s break down what actually makes cannabis a potential sleep aid. It’s not just about indica vs. sativa, although we’ll get to that! Cannabinoids like THC and CBN, along with terpenes like myrcene and linaloon, all play a role in how cannabis affects sleep cycles. THC, in particular, can help people fall sleep faster, especially in low to moderate doses. CBN, sometimes nicknamed the “sleepy cannabinoid,” is gaining traction for its sedative-like properties, especially when paired with THC in full-spectrum products.

But here’s the twist: higher THC isn’t always better. While strong strains might knock you out initially, they can also mess with REM sleep—the stage linked to dreaming and emotional processing. That’s why some people wake up groggy or foggy-headed after a heavy-hitting edible or concentrate. Balance is key. A strain or product with a more balanced cannabinoid profile (think 1:1 THC:CBD or formulas that include CBN) can lead to more restorative rest without the zombie morning.

Let’s talk terpenes. These aromatic compounds do more than make your flower smell like pine or citrus—they actually influence the experience. Myrcene, found in strains like Granddaddy Purple and Northern Lights, is known for its relaxing, sedative effects. Linalool (also found in lavender) can ease anxiety and quiet a racing mind. When choosing a product for sleep, checking the terpene profile can be just as important as looking at THC content.

Our budtenders often recommend slow-release edibles or tinctures for people who struggle with staying asleep. These types of products metabolize more gradually, offering support throughout the night instead of just during the onset. For those who need help falling asleep fast, a fast-acting vape or infused pre-roll might do the trick. Timing is important, too, taking an edible right before bed can lead to frustration if it takes an hour to kick in. Start your routine 30-60 minutes before your desired bedtime for best results.

One of the most underrated parts of using cannabis for sleep? Intention. Creating a nighttime ritual, whether it’s a hot bath, screen-free time, or reading a chapter before bed, can amplify the effects of your chosen strain. Pairing cannabis with calming activities tells your brain, “Hey, it’s time to shut it down.” This combo of plant medicine and routine can be more effective than either one on its own.

And let’s not forget: everyone’s body responds differently. What knocks one person out might keep another alert. That’s why it’s worth journaling your experience or checking in with a budtender after trying something new. At NatureMed, we’re always happy to help you dial in your sleep setup and figure out what works best for your body, schedule, and tolerance.

If sleep has been playing hard to get, it might be time to invite cannabis into your nighttime routine. Whether you’re curious about CBN, want to explore terpene-rich flower, or just need help finding a chill edible that won’t leave you foggy in the morning, we’ve got you. Check out our online menu to explore all our sleep-friendly picks, and don’t forget to swing by our daily deals page, you might just find your new favorite bedtime companion at a dreamy price.

How to Build the Perfect Cannabis Self-Care Routine

How to Build the Perfect Cannabis Self-Care Routine

Self-care has come a long way from face masks and cucumber slices. Don’t get us wrong, we still love a good skincare moment. But the modern self-care ritual is about feeling good from the inside out. And for many of us, cannabis plays a starring role in that routine. Whether it’s melting into the couch with a good book and a THC-infused tea or soaking your stress away in a dreamy cannabis bath, cannabis can help you slow down, reset, and actually unwind.

Let’s start with the vibe. Imagine this: you walk in after a long day, change into your comfiest clothes, and from a cannabis-infused bath bomb into a steamy tub. The scent of eucalyptus or lavender fills the air as the warm water wraps around you like a weighted blanket. Add in some soft music or a podcast you’ve been meaning to catch up on, and just like that, you’ve set the stage for peak relaxation.

Now that your muscles are soft and your brain is finally starting to chill, it’s time for the next step in the routine, a delicious THC-infused drink. Whether you go for a soothing chamomile tea or a sparkling elixir with a low-dose buzz, infused beverages are a great way to ease into your evening without the harsh effects of alcohol. Sip slowly, take a deep breath, and let that warm, floaty feeling wash over you.

Once you’re out of the bath and snuggled up in your favorite blanket, a few drops of a THC tincture under the tongue can be the cherry on top. Tinctures are fast-acting, easy to dose, and super discreet, which makes them perfect for winding down. Some tinctures even blend THC with CBN or melatonin for an extra sleep-supportive kick. Think of it as your nightcap, minus the hangover.

For those nights when your brain just won’t stop running laps, a calming indica preroll might be the hero you need. Strains like Ice Cream Cake or Northern Lights are known for their stress-melting, body-calming effects. Light one up, get cozy, and let your thoughts float away like smoke rings. Suddenly, that mountain of stress looks a whole lot more like a gentle hill.

The best part about a cannabis-centered self-care routine? It’s customizable. You can keep it simple with one product, or go full wellness warrior with bath bombs, drinks, tinctures, and prerolls. It’s about finding what works for you and making space to prioritize your own peace. No guilt, no pressure, just vibes!

And remember, self-care doesn’t need to be a solo-mission. Grab a friend, pick a cozy movie, and turn your chill night into a mini staycation. There’s nothing like a cannabis-infused charcuterie board and some deep-belly laughs to remind you life’s pretty sweet, even in sweatpants.
