NatureMed is Celebrating KC Pride 2026 With You!

NatureMed is Celebrating KC Pride 2026 With You!

Pride is one of the most electric weekends Kansas City has to offer, and this year, NatureMed is showing up right alongside the community we love. KC PrideFest 2026 is taking over Theis Park June 5 through 7, and we could not be more excited to be part of the celebration. Whether you are a longtime member of the LGBTQ+ community or an enthusiastic ally, this weekend is for everyone, and we want to make sure you have the best time possible.

What is KC PrideFest

KC PrideFest is one of the largest LGBTQ+ events in the Midwest, drawing thousands of people together each year to celebrate identity, community, and joy. This year marks the 51st year of Pride in Kansas City, and the 2026 theme is “It’s All Ours.” From live music across multiple stages to local vendors, food trucks, family-friendly activities, and the iconic Pride Parade, the weekend is packed from start to finish. It is a celebration of everything the Kansas City LGBTQ+ community has built, protected, and claimed as its own.

Where You Can Find NatureMed

We will be out and proud this weekend, and we want to connect with as many of you as possible. Stop by and say hi, grab some goodies, and let us know how we can take care of you. Our Kansas City location at 2631 NE Vivion Road is close to the action, so whether you are prepping before the festival or winding down after, we have got you covered. Look for our team and keep an eye on our social media for updates on exactly where to find us throughout the weekend.

Cannabis and Pride: A History Worth Honoring

The connection between cannabis culture and LGBTQ+ history runs deep. During the early days of the AIDS crisis, cannabis was one of the few tools patients had to manage pain, nausea, and appetite loss, and LGBTQ+ activists were among the loudest voices fighting for medical cannabis access. The fight for both cannabis legalization and LGBTQ+ rights has always shared a common thread: bodily autonomy, dignity, and the freedom to live authentically. As a cannabis dispensary, we are proud to be part of a legacy that honors that history.

How to Enjoy Pride Weekend Responsibly

A three-day festival in the June heat calls for some planning. Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and know your limits. If cannabis is part of your Pride weekend plans, consume before you head into the festival grounds since outside products are not permitted on site. Edibles are a fan favorite for events like this because they are discreet, portable, and long-lasting. Our budtenders are happy to help you find the right product and dose so you feel great all day without overdoing it. As always, never drive after consuming cannabis.

Pride-Worthy Products to Try This Weekend

Looking for something to elevate your weekend? Here are a few categories worth exploring before you head out. Edibles are ideal for a long day on your feet. A low-dose gummy or chocolate can keep the good vibes going for hours. If relaxing at home after a big day of celebrating sounds like your vibe, a quality indica or hybrid flower or a pre-roll is a great way to decompress. Live resin or rosin carts are another favorite for those who want something flavorful and potent without the prep work. Ask your budtender what is moving this week.

NatureMed Loves Kansas City

We are not just a dispensary in Kansas City. We are neighbors, community members, and believers in the idea that everyone deserves to feel welcome exactly as they are. Pride weekend is a reminder of how far we have come and how much further we want to go together. NatureMed is committed to being a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free space for every person who walks through our doors, all year long. Not just in June. We see you, we celebrate you, and we are glad you are here.

Shop Our Deals and Come See Us!

Welcome to the Family, Paducah! NatureMed is Now Open in Western Kentucky

Welcome to the Family, Paducah! NatureMed is Now Open in Western Kentucky

We have exciting news to share, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to say it: NatureMed Cannabis Dispensary is officially open in Paducah, Kentucky. This opening marks a huge milestone, not just for our brand, but for the patients and families across Western Kentucky who have been waiting for safe, legal access to medical cannabis. Whether you’ve been counting down the days or are just beginning to explore what medical cannabis can do for you, Paducah now has a home base for quality care, education, and product.

Western Kentucky’s First Medical Cannabis Dispensary

The Paducah location is the first medical dispensary to open in the Western Kentucky region, and we couldn’t be prouder to carry that distinction. NatureMed Paducah is now serving patients across McCracken, Calloway, Graves, Marshall, Livingston, and surrounding counties, bringing medical cannabis access to a part of the state that has long needed it. For so many patients in this area, the nearest dispensary was hours away. That changes now.

A Long Time Coming for Paducah Patients

As CEO Daniel Woodward shared at the opening: “Opening our doors in Paducah is a moment we’ve worked toward for a long time, and we couldn’t be more proud to finally serve patients here in Western Kentucky. This community has waited patiently for access to legal, regulated medical cannabis, and we take that responsibility seriously.” That spirit defines everything we do at NatureMed. This isn’t just a business expansion. It’s a genuine commitment to the communities we serve, and Paducah is no exception.

What NatureMed Paducah Has to Offer

Patient education is our top priority at the new location. As our marketing director Myles Mayfield put it: “With us expanding into Kentucky, something that we hold really near and dear to our heart – it’s even in our name, is the medical side.” In every location, you’ll find a knowledgeable team ready to walk you through your options, answer your questions, and help you find products that work for your specific needs. No pressure, no rush. Just real care.

How Kentucky’s Medical Cannabis Program Works

If you’re new to the medical cannabis process in Kentucky, here’s what you need to know. The Kentucky Medical Cannabis Program launched in January 2025, established by Senate Bill 47 signed by Governor Beshear in March 2023. To access a dispensary, patients need a valid medical cannabis card, which requires an evaluation from a licensed Kentucky practitioner. Qualifying conditions include cancer, chronic severe or debilitating pain, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, muscle spasms, PTSD, chronic nausea, and other conditions approved by the Kentucky Center for Cannabis. Once certified, patients can keep a 30-day supply at home and a 10-day supply on their person.

Getting Your Kentucky Medical Card

The process to get your medical card is straightforward. You’ll need to establish a relationship with a licensed Kentucky practitioner who is registered with the state’s medical cannabis program. Your first visit must be in person, but subsequent certifications can be done via telehealth once that relationship is established. Once you have your written certification, you can register through the state’s online portal and begin shopping. Our team at NatureMed Paducah is happy to help point you in the right direction if you have questions about the process.

NatureMed’s Roots and What Makes Us Different

Before entering the Kentucky medical cannabis market, NatureMed operated dispensaries in Arizona and Missouri, and our Missouri patients know exactly what to expect from us: a welcoming environment, consistent quality, and staff that genuinely cares. We bring that same energy to every new market we enter. Mayfield summed up our values well: “Our values truly lie in the benefit and the power of this plant, and we want to leave the world in a better place because of this plant.” That’s the NatureMed difference, wherever you find us.

Come See Us in Kentucky, Missouri, and Arizona!

The NatureMed Paducah dispensary is located at 435 Jordan Drive, Paducah, KY 42001. Whether you’re an experienced cannabis patient or stepping through a dispensary door for the first time, our team is ready to welcome you. And if you’re a Missouri or Arizona patient who already knows and loves NatureMed, spread the word to your Kentucky friends and family. The family is growing, and we are so excited to have Paducah in it. While you’re at it, don’t forget to explore what’s waiting for you at home! We’re on the A-List: NatureMed Nominated for Best Dispensary and Best Budtender in St. Louis Magazine’s 2026 Reader Awards

We're on the A-List: NatureMed Nominated for Best Dispensary and Best Budtender in St. Louis Magazine's 2026 Reader Awards

St. Louis Magazine’s A-List is one of the region’s most beloved reader-driven award programs, recognizing the best businesses, brands, and people across the St. Louis area. Every year, readers nominate and vote for their favorites across hundreds of categories spanning dining, wellness, retail, entertainment, and more. Winners and top finalists are featured in the September issue of St. Louis Magazine, making it one of the most visible recognitions a St. Louis business can earn. The fact that it is 100 percent driven by the public’s voice makes it mean even more.

NatureMed is Nominated for Best Dispensary

We are thrilled to share that NatureMed has been nominated for Best Dispensary in St. Louis Magazine’s A-List 2026. Since opening our O’Fallon and St. Louis locations to serve the region, our team has worked hard every single day to build something the community is proud of. From a carefully curated product menu to a welcoming in-store environment, every decision we make is guided by one goal: giving our customers the best possible cannabis experience. Being recognized in a reader-nominated awards program tells us we are doing something right, and that means the world to us.

Three of Our Budtenders are Nominated for Best Budtender

If you have ever walked into a NatureMed location and left feeling genuinely taken care of, you already know our staff is something special. This year, three of our budtenders have been nominated for Best Budtender in the A-List 2026 awards: Laura York and Connor Lucas from our O’Fallon location, and Jess Keisker from our St. Louis location on Kingshighway. These are the people who show up every day ready to answer your questions, guide you toward the right product, and make your visit feel less like a transaction and more like a conversation. Getting three nominations in the same category is not a coincidence. It is a reflection of the culture we have built across our team.

What Makes a Great Budtender?

A great budtender is part product expert, part educator, and part community connector. They know the menu inside and out, but more importantly, they know how to listen. Whether you are brand new to cannabis and trying to figure out where to start, or a seasoned customer looking for something specific, a great budtender meets you exactly where you are. At NatureMed, we invest in our staff because we believe the human experience is just as important as the products on the shelf. Laura, Connor, and Jess each bring that energy to work every single day, and these nominations are a direct reflection of the care they put into every customer interaction.

Fire Up the Flavor: How to Make Cannabis-Infused Condiments at Home

Fire Up the Flavor: How to Make Cannabis-Infused Condiments at Home

Summer is the season of good food, better company, and even better flavor. Whether you’re hosting a backyard BBQ, putting together a spread for game night, or just looking to make your everyday meals a little more intentional, cannabis-infused condiments are one of the easiest and most versatile ways to incorporate cannabis into your routine. The best part? You don’t need to be a chef or own any fancy equipment. With a few pantry staples and the right cannabis product from your local NatureMed, you can turn a bottle of hot sauce or a batch of homemade ranch into something seriously elevated.

Know Your Infusion Base Before You Start

The key to a successful infused condiment is matching your cannabis product to the right base. Not all condiments are created equal, and neither are all infusion methods. Fat-based condiments like ranch dressing, mayo, and creamy dips pair best with cannabis oil or canna butter, because cannabinoids bind to fat and distribute evenly throughout thick, creamy textures. Water or vinegar-based condiments like BBQ sauce, hot sauce, and ketchup work better with a cannabis tincture, since alcohol-based tinctures blend more seamlessly into liquid-forward recipes. NatureMed carries tinctures, FECO (fully extracted cannabis oil), and cannabis-infused products across all five locations to cover both bases, so you can start wherever feels most comfortable.

A variety of homemade summer condiments including balsamic glaze, herb pesto, and mustard aioli arranged in a circular tasting flight.

Infused BBQ Sauce

BBQ sauce is one of the most beginner-friendly condiments to infuse because the bold, smoky, and sweet flavor profile does a great job of complementing cannabis without masking it entirely. To make a simple batch, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, molasses, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of cayenne in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring it to a low simmer, stir frequently, and let it cook uncovered for about 20 minutes. Once you pull it off the heat, whisk in your canna butter or cannabis oil one tablespoon at a time until you get a smooth, glossy consistency. Adding the infused ingredient after cooking is key, since high heat can degrade THC and reduce potency. This sauce is perfect as a mop for ribs, a glaze for grilled chicken, or a dip for just about anything coming off the grill.

Infused Hot Sauce

If you’re the kind of person who keeps hot sauce on the table year-round, this one’s for you. Because hot sauce is vinegar-based, a cannabis tincture is your best bet here. Start with a base of fermented or fresh peppers (cayenne, habanero, or serrano depending on your heat preference), white vinegar, garlic, salt, and a touch of sugar. Blend everything until smooth, then strain for a thinner consistency. Once the sauce has cooled completely, stir in your tincture and mix thoroughly. The alcohol in tinctures allows the cannabinoids to distribute evenly without separating, which is exactly what you want in a sauce you’re going to shake and drizzle freely. Store it in a glass bottle in the fridge and use it the same way you would your favorite everyday hot sauce, just mindfully and with a labeled bottle so everyone knows what’s in it.

Infused Ranch Dressing

Ranch might be Missouri’s unofficial condiment, and the good news is it’s extremely easy to infuse. Because it’s fat-based, cannabis oil integrates beautifully. Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, parsley, chives, salt, and black pepper in a bowl and whisk together. Then add a measured amount of cannabis oil and stir until fully blended. You can thin it out with extra buttermilk if you want more of a pourable dressing versus a thick dip. This works as a veggie dip, a drizzle over a loaded baked potato, a sauce for pizza, or a dipping companion for just about anything coming out of an air fryer. Because ranch is so versatile, having a small batch in the fridge means you’re always one drizzle away from an elevated moment.

Infused Honey (a Bonus You’ll Use on Everything)

Cannabis-infused honey is one of the most underrated infusions you can make, and it opens the door to a whole category of condiment creativity. Warm raw honey in a double boiler over low heat until it loosens, then stir in your FECO slowly, mixing until fully incorporated. FECO, also known as RSO, is a full-spectrum oil that carries all of the plant’s naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes, making it a potent and flavorful infusion option. Once your infused honey is ready, you can drizzle it over fried chicken, stir it into BBQ sauce for extra depth, use it as a glaze for salmon or roasted carrots, or swirl it into mustard for a quick infused dipping sauce. It stores well at room temperature and is one of the most multipurpose infusions you can have on hand heading into summer.

Dosing Tips to Keep It Enjoyable for Everyone

Getting the dose right is the most important part of cooking with cannabis. A general starting point is 5 to 10mg of THC per serving, especially for anyone newer to edibles or those who don’t consume frequently. Because edibles take longer to kick in than inhaled cannabis, typically anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours, it is easy to overconsume if you are not patient. Always label your infused condiments clearly and store them separately from non-infused versions so there is no accidental mix-up. If you are serving guests, always disclose what is infused and offer non-infused alternatives. Your NatureMed budtenders can help you calculate the right amount of product to use based on the milligrams in whichever tincture, FECO, or cannabis oil you pick up, so do not hesitate to ask.

Stock Up at NatureMed Before You Start

All of these recipes start at the dispensary, and NatureMed has what you need across all five locations in Kansas City and St. Louis. Whether you are grabbing a tincture for your hot sauce, a cannabis oil for your ranch, FECO for that infused honey, or asking your budtender what’s moving on this week’s deals, the team is there to help you find the right product for your kitchen goals. Infused cooking is one of the most creative and rewarding ways to explore cannabis, and condiments are one of the most approachable entry points. Pick up your infusion products, fire up the stove, and bring something truly elevated to the table this summer. Check out our daily deals for savings on tinctures, oils, and more, and browse our full online menu to find your nearest location and shop before you stop in.

Missouri Cannabis Tax Update

Missouri Cannabis Tax Update

When Missourians voted to legalize adult-use marijuana, the constitutional amendment authorized each dispensary’s local government to assess an additional 3% local sales tax. For dispensaries located inside city limits, like our Independence and O’Fallon locations, some surrounding counties also imposed their own additional 3% on top of that. Following a successful legal challenge by the industry, the Missouri Supreme Court ruled that this double taxation was unlawful. As a result, customers who made adult-use purchases at our Independence or O’Fallon locations between October 1, 2023 and July 31, 2025 may have been subject to this additional county tax.

While Missouri law designates the retailer as the taxpayer entitled to any sales tax refunds, NatureMed has chosen to create a voluntary refund program to pass that benefit on to you. Eligible customers can apply for refund based on their purchases during the affected period. To be considered, you’ll need to submit proof of purchase. Please note that our budtenders are unable to look up previous transactions, so a valid receipt is required. Submission does not guarantee eligibility, and all requests are subject to review. If you think you may qualify, you can submit your information using the link below.

NatureMed’s Mother’s Day Cannabis Gift Guide

NatureMed's Mother's Day Cannabis Gift Guide

Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and if you are still searching for the perfect gift, it might be time to think outside the bouquet. Cannabis wellness has come a long way, and today’s dispensary shelves are stocked with thoughtful, luxurious options that go far beyond the stereotypes. Whether the mom in your life is a longtime cannabis enthusiast or just beginning to explore what the plant has to offer, NatureMed has something for every kind of celebration this May.

For the Mom Who Needs to Unwind

If there is one thing most moms have in common, it is that they deserve a real break. Indica and indica-leaning hybrid flower are a wonderful place to start for moms who want to settle in, slow down, and enjoy a quiet evening. Pair a well-curated eighth with her favorite snacks and a cozy night in, and you have a gift that genuinely delivers on rest and relaxation. Our budtenders are always happy to point you toward strains known for their calming, body-forward effects.

For the Wellness-Minded Mom

Topicals and tinctures have become go-to gifts for moms who approach cannabis from a wellness angle. Cannabis-infused topicals can be applied directly to areas of tension or discomfort, offering targeted relief without any psychoactive effects. Tinctures, meanwhile, offer a discreet and measured way to incorporate cannabinoids into a daily wellness routine. If she is curious about the plant but not necessarily interested in smoking or vaping, these formats are a perfect introduction.

For the Mom with a Sweet Tooth

Edibles have grown into one of the most popular cannabis gift categories, and for good reason. From gummies in a range of flavors and dosages to chocolates and infused beverages, there is a cannabis treat for every palate. For a mom new to edibles, a low-dose option (think 2.5mg to 5mg THC) is a great starting point. For a more experienced consumer, something with a higher potency or a balanced THC to CBD ratio can make for a genuinely elevated treat.

For the Mom Who Loves Self-Care

Cannabis and self-care are a natural pairing. Bath-adjacent wellness products, soothing topicals with aromatherapy-inspired scents, and CBD-forward options make for a beautifully rounded self-care gift set. Consider building a small basket with a few complementary items, like a relaxing tincture, a topical balm, and maybe a pre-roll she can enjoy after a bath. The personalization goes a long way, and your NatureMed budtender can help you pull it together.

For the Canna-Curious Mom

Not every mom is a seasoned consumer, and that is completely okay. If the mom you are shopping for is new to cannabis or has been curious but hesitant, a beginner-friendly gift kit can be a meaningful gesture. Low-dose gummies, a CBD tincture, or a small selection of pre-rolls are all approachable options that take the guesswork out of getting started. NatureMed’s staff is trained to walk new customers through their options without any pressure, so feel free to bring her in and let us help.

Cannabis Delivery vs. Dispensary Pickup: What’s Right for Missouri Patients?

Cannabis Delivery vs. Dispensary Pickup: What's Right for Missouri Patients?

Missouri’s medical and recreational cannabis market has grown fast, and with that growth has come more options for how patients and customers actually get their product. Two of the most common methods are home delivery and in-store pickup, and while both get cannabis into your hands, the experience, timing, and convenience factors are pretty different. Understanding both options can help you make the smarter choice for your routine, your schedule, and your needs as a Missouri cannabis consumer.

White delivery van drives along a suburban street with multi-story houses behind a tall fence under a blue sky.

The Case for Cannabis Delivery

Cannabis delivery is exactly what it sounds like: your order comes to you. For patients dealing with mobility issues, chronic pain, or conditions that make leaving the house difficult, delivery is not just convenient, it can be genuinely essential. Missouri law allows licensed dispensaries to offer delivery services to qualifying customers, and NatureMed offers delivery through our Gladstone and O’Fallon locations to serve customers across the KC area and beyond. You shop online or call in your order, place it, and wait for it to arrive without ever having to get in a car. For patients who rely on cannabis as part of their medical treatment, this kind of accessibility matters.

Free Delivery from Our Gladstone Location

NatureMed’s Gladstone location offers free delivery on orders of $150 or more, calculated before tax and after any discounts are applied, to addresses within 10 miles of the store. If your order does not meet the $150 threshold, delivery is still available, just not free. Our O’Fallon location also offers delivery service to its surrounding area, though the free delivery promotion is specific to Gladstone. Whether you’re in the KC metro or out in O’Fallon, getting cannabis delivered to your door is a real, reliable option. You can check availability, coverage areas, and more details on our delivery page.

A person holding a smartphone displaying the NatureMed cannabis delivery app, showing the online menu for flower and pre-rolls with a banner promoting a 10-mile delivery radius in Gladstone.

What to Know Before You Order Delivery

If you’re going to place a delivery order, there are a few things to have squared away before your driver shows up. Orders can be placed online through our menu or over the phone with your location’s team. Once your order is on its way, your driver will call ahead to confirm details, so make sure the phone number on your order is accurate and that you’re available to pick up. When your order arrives, you will need a valid government-issued ID to receive it, no exceptions, so have that ready at the door. For payment, drivers accept exact cash, debit card, or Dutchie Pay by Bank. If you want to skip the cash entirely and pay digitally, you can sign up for Dutchie Pay by Bank here before your order is placed to make the whole transaction smoother.

The Case for In-Store Pickup

Dispensary pickup has its own clear advantages. When you walk into a NatureMed location, you get face-to-face time with knowledgeable budtenders who can walk you through products, answer questions, and help you find something new that fits your needs. That hands-on guidance is hard to replicate online. Pickup also means you get your order same-day, often within minutes of placing it, and you can browse in-person before committing. For new patients especially, the in-store experience tends to build confidence and familiarity with the product landscape faster than shopping digitally.

A wide-angle view of the modern interior at NatureMed dispensary, featuring professional budtenders at numbered checkout stations and glass display cases filled with various cannabis products and accessories.

Timing, Privacy, and Picking What Works for You

One of the biggest practical differences between delivery and pickup comes down to timing. Delivery works best when you plan ahead since windows vary by location, order volume, and distance. In-store pickup is typically the faster same-day option, especially when you order ahead through our online menu. On the privacy side, delivery keeps your purchase entirely at home, which some patients strongly prefer, while the in-store experience offers a professional, regulated environment with direct access to staff. Neither option is wrong. It really comes down to your schedule, your situation, and how you like to shop. The good news is you do not have to commit to one or the other, you can mix and match based on what your week looks like.

Shop NatureMed Your Way

Whether you’re ready to place a delivery order or you want to browse before you buy, NatureMed makes both options easy across our Missouri locations. Check out our daily deals to see what’s running right now, and head to our online menu to start your delivery order or find your nearest store for pickup. Missouri patients deserve access that fits their life, and we’re here to make that happen however works best for you.

Introducing Boutiq Blast Vapes: Now Available at NatureMed

Introducing Boutiq Blast Vapes: Now Available at NatureMed

If you have been looking for a vape that actually does something different, Boutiq is worth paying attention to. This is a premium cannabis brand originally out of California, built around the idea that a disposable vape should never compromise on extract quality, flavor, or hardware. They have built a seriously loyal following, and it’s not hard to see why once you try their product.

Bold magenta pixel-art badge with the word 'BOOT' in white, laid over a grayscale collage of loading/game stickers.

What is Boutiq?

Boutiq is a California-based cannabis brand that has made a name for itself by refusing to cut corners. From the extract inside the device to the hardware itself, everything is designed with quality and consistency in mind. We are now carrying their Blast line, a 2-gram all-in-one disposable vape that represents some of their best work!

What Makes the Blast Different?

The Blast is loaded with liquid diamonds extract, one of the most refined and terpene-rich forms of cannabis concentrate available. It is draw-activated, rechargeable via USB-C, and built with a ceramic coil for smooth, consistent hits from the first puff to the last. The hardware feels solid and well thought out, which is not always something you can say about a disposable.

What are Liquid Diamonds?

At the core of every Blast is Boutiq’s Liquid Live Diamonds extract, one of the most refined and terpene-rich forms of cannabis concentrate available. Compared to standard distillate vapes, the difference in smoothness and flavor depth is immediately noticeable. You get a fuller, more true-to-strain experience without any harshness or artificial aftertaste. If you have ever felt like a vape just did not taste like real cannabis, liquid live diamonds are usually the answer to that problem.

Boutiq Glowberry disposable vape features including Triple-Coil technology, Liquid Live Diamonds, and Missouri exclusive availability.

Dual-Voltage, Blinker Counter, and Infinity Mode

This is where the Blast really sets itself apart. Dual-voltage technology lets you seamlessly switch between two voltage settings, each calibrated for a distinct shift in feel and output depending on your preference. The integrated display tracks your Blinker Count in real time so you always know where you stand. And then there is Infinity Mode, a 10-second blinker that unlocks peak performance and adds 6 points toward your next high score. Boutiq leans fully into the gaming world with this one, and it works. It makes the experience feel interactive and fun in a way that no other vape on the market really does.

Bold Flavors to Choose From

The Blast comes in a range of strain-specific flavor profiles, from fruity and tropical to sweet and earthy. Flavors like Blue Crack, Fruit Stripe, Glowberry, Kiwi-Z, Pink Haze, and Pluto each bring something distinct to the table. Every flavor is crafted to reflect the character of the strain it is built around, so what you taste actually connects to the experience you get.

Grid of color-backed cards each showing a black handheld device with a yellow display; bottom reads 'select your player'.

Only Available in Missouri

Here is something worth knowing: the Boutiq Blast is available exclusively in Missouri right now, which means NatureMed is one of the only places in the country where you can get your hands on it. If you have been seeing the buzz around this brand online and wondering where to find it, you found it!

Now Carrying Boutiq at NatureMed

We are thrilled to be a Boutiq partner and to bring this one to our customers. It is the kind of product that speaks for itself once you try it, and the Blast raises the bar for what a single-tank disposable can be.

Browse our online menu to see which Blast flavors are currently in stock, and make sure to check out our daily deals before you shop!

Indica vs. Sativa vs. Hybrid: What the Labels Actually Mean

Indica vs. Sativa vs. Hybrid: What the Labels Actually Mean

Walk into any dispensary and the menu is divided into three familiar columns: indica, sativa, hybrid. You have probably heard the shorthand before. Indica is relaxing, sativa is energizing, hybrid is somewhere in between. It is a helpful starting point, but the full story is a little more interesting.

Where the Labels Came From

Those words actually started as botanical terms, not effect descriptions. Indica and sativa originally referred to how two different cannabis plants looked and grew in the wild. Over time, those plant labels got attached to consumer experiences, and the shorthand stuck. The problem is that decades of crossbreeding have blurred the genetic lines almost completely, and most products on a dispensary shelf today are technically hybrids regardless of what the label says.

Do Indica and Sativa Actually Feel Different?

Scientists who have analyzed tens of thousands of commercial cannabis samples found that sativa-labeled and indica-labeled products are often chemically indistinguishable from one another. Two products wearing the same label can have totally different profiles and produce totally different experiences. The labels are a decent first filter, but they are not a guarantee of what you will feel.

What Actually Determines How Cannabis Makes You Feel?

Terpenes. These are the aromatic compounds that give each strain its unique smell and flavor, and they play a huge role in shaping how a product feels. A strain high in myrcene, which smells earthy and musky, tends to feel relaxing and heavy. A strain high in limonene, which is bright and citrusy, tends to feel more uplifting. The specific terpene profile of a product matters far more than whether it is labeled indica or sativa.

How to Use Cannabis Labels to Shop Smarter

The smarter move is to look at the terpene profile alongside the label. Ask your budtender about dominant terpenes, check the lab report if one is available, and pay attention to how different profiles land for you personally. Everyone’s experience is a little different.
